NEWS--ACCESS DURING THE PANDEMIC

The Trout Gallery Open to the Campus Community

The Trout Gallery is open on a limited basis to Dickinson College students, faculty, and staff. All visitors to the museum will be required to obtain timed tickets (free) in advance though the museum's on-line ticking system (or you may use the QR code above). Visitors will be required to follow all social distancing protocols.

The museum intends to open to its doors to the general public by autum 2021, should conditions permit.

COVID-19 Safety Procedures

  • Dickinson College students, faculty, and staff who wish to visit the museum must pre-register for a timed ticket (see above). This reduces traffic and provides contact tracing information.
  • Visitors must wear a mask and social distance at all times on campus and when approaching the Weiss Center for the Arts.
  • Entrance into the Weiss Center for the Arts requires a Dickinson College swipe card. The Weiss Center is closed to the public.
  • Once inside the Weiss Center, visitors are to follow signs to the museum entrance and present their Dickinson ID to the visitor services staff member at the window as marked.
  • Visitors in the museum are to wear masks, maintain social distancing, and follow entrance / exit signs as posted.
  • Family members and friends of Dickinson College students, faculty, or staff are encouraged to visit the museum when it opens to the general public--hopefully by autumn 2021. We understand this may be inconvenient but it is important to uphold these restrictions for the health of the museum staff, visitors, and members of the Dickinson College / Carlisle community.
For your safety...

  • The museum employes hepa-grade air purification that scrubs the air of viruses in the galleries several times daily.
  • Ticketing system limits attendance to 12 visitors per hour.
  • Hand rails and door handles cleaned regularly.
  • Students are tested twice weekly for COVID-19.
  • Museum staff and faculty are tested once each week for COVID-19.
